Like millions of other families in Canda, our family is no stranger to cancer. Determined not to retire, Jack Huntley loved that his strength and his mind had not failed him as he hit his 60s. Upon his diagnosis in 2020, he fought for the golden age he deserved so badly after burying his first wife and raising his children. He longed to be a grandfather and wanted to split his time between Ontario and Alberta to see his two kids and their families grow. It is an undeserved tragedy that he only caught a glimpse of that life.
Jack passed away on March 28, 2021 in peace and with family by his side. He requested that there be no funeral, no viewing. He didn't want tears. Instead, he wanted people to be near their loved ones and have "a day off on him." Please honour him this way.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of our Dad, Jack Huntley.
