Virtual Mission Complete!
At Thanksgiving, amid COVID-19 restrictions, our family decided to complete Terry Fox's run by collectively walking the distance from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Victoria, BC. in memory of my mother, Judy Mills.
Eleven family members participated in our "virtual mission" by recording their physical activities. We walked, ran, practiced yoga, played hockey and biked toward our 3793 kilometres. In early December, we reached our goal.
Throughout our journey, I was reflecting on how very difficult Terry's run would have been and have lucky I am to participate in our family's completion of it. Too many that we know and love have succumbed to cancer and we want to raise funds so that fewer people will lose their loved ones before their time.
