It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved son and brother. He died peacefully as a result of cancer, at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, on Monday January 25, 2021.  Even during his brief illness, he was kind, gentle, compassionate; always showing his great and quirky humour to his family, friends and the nurses who cared for him.

Although a non-smoker, Alan's primary cancer was in the lung, but by the time he showed symptoms, it had spread to his brain (leptomeningeal disease).

Through this page, we hope to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. With continued support for the Society, fewer people in the future will have to lose their loved ones before their time.

All funds donated through this page will support the work of the Canadian Cancer Society.  The Society makes more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.
