Sheila Wilmshurst
was born on August 6, 1941 in Walsall, England. She lived in various parts of her native country over the years, eventually moving to Canada in 2010 to join her daughter, Karen.
Regardless of where Sheila lived, she became an active member of her church. She enjoyed spending her time and energy gardening, knitting, and traveling. Sheila had a great appreciation for natural beauty- she was very happy to have visited some of the most stunning National Parks in the US as well as the Rockies, which had been on her bucket list. Sheila and Karen created many memorable moments on their mother-daughter weekends away as well as their local outings together. Her love of reading, especially good mystery novels, crossword puzzles and Scrabble are some of the passions she passed down to Karen.
Sheila was appreciated for her kind, gentle, caring and generous nature. She was well known by name in her neighbourhood, where she was often seen walking the family dog, Herbie. Her warm smile, positive spirit and ability to see the good in people will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Memories of Sheila will forever be cherished by her daughter Karen, son-in-law Patrick and grandson Dexter.
May she rest in peace.
