It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Boultbee announces his passing in Toronto on Wednesday November 29, 2017, at the age of 71 after a brief illness. Peter was the loving husband of the late Claire Boultbee of Toronto and the son of the late Frank and Christina Boultbee. He leaves behind his brother Alex, his sister Elizabeth (Boo), his brother-in-law Frank Quinlan, and his nieces and nephews David, Amy, Ashley, Stephanie, and Shelagh. He grew up near Cobourg and attended Trinity College School in Port Hope, winning the Oxford Cup 5K race two years in a row. Peter then attended Bishops University in Lennoxville, Quebec from 1964 to 1967. During his time at Bishops, he was on the Harrier track team, was a member of the Athletic Society, as well as being involved in several other clubs and being a member of the campus staff. Peter articled with Deloitte in Montreal before moving to Toronto and joining Smith Nixon where he spent 33 years as a highly regarded tax accountant and partner.
A service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. West on Saturday, December 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Ontario Cancer Society.
