In August 2022 Lucie was diagnosed with a rare and aggresive type of uterine cancer. At that point she was already in the late stages of the disease and any medical interventions could only serve to prolong life for a short time. She attempted chemotherapy but eventually decided to focus on maintaining a quality of life in the time remaining to her. Lucie lost her battle with cancer and passed away with her family by her side on November 17, 2022.
Through this page, I hope to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. I embrace this mission and hope you do too. With continued support for the Society, fewer people in the future will have to lose their loved ones before their time.
Every donation brings us one step closer to preventing cancer, detecting it earlier, improving treatments and helping Canadians live longer, healthier lives.
Together, we can change cancer forever.
All funds donated through this page will support the work of the Canadian Cancer Society. The Society makes more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.
