They say death is hardest on the living. Sometimes it's impossible to say goodbye and you never really stop feeling the loss. Richard was taken from us on March 11, 2018. Although he lived a full life, some might say several lives, we know that it was too soon. His diagnosis was late and his battle was short, but he was brave and faced it head on.
November 17th would have been Richard's 71st birthday. And now this day along with all the others—occasions big and small, the insignaficant moments—they're all bittersweet. He's left bits of himself behind. Little reminders. A lifetime of memories, photos and trinkets to remember him by now that he's gone. It's never enough, but it will have to be.
Through this page, we hope to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. With continued support for the Society, fewer people in the future will have to lose their loved ones before their time.
Every donation to your page brings us one step closer to preventing cancer, detecting it earlier, improving treatments and helping Canadians live longer, healthier lives.
Together, we can change cancer forever.
All funds donated through this page will support the work of the Canadian Cancer Society. The Society makes more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.
