Susan Mary Gamble
June 3, 1945 – January 11, 2017
Our darling lady passed away gently on January 11, 2017 at Palliative Care Unit of Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Her passing took place with her most loving husband, son, Thane and daughter, Megan and her husband, Paul, sister-in-law, Frances and her husband Jim, sister-in-law, Rene all there. The kind and compassionate Dr. Patterson and the caring and warm nurse Andrea looked after her and all the family with exquisite kindness.
Susan was born in Nottingham, England and later moved with her family, father Baldwin, dear mother Betty and sister Jill to be closer to London. Susan attended Kingston College in London and then started her career as a marketing researcher for a major advertising agency. She decided to move to Canada, as her sister had and was soon employed by Adrian Gamble, Fergus’s father, at Adcom Research. Ten days after arriving in Canada she met Fergus at a wedding of her sister’s friend. To Fergus’s and Susan’s surprise they both met again at the Adcom office a few days later. And so began the most unique loving relationship that will endure even with her passing after nearly 46 years of living, loving and working together which included eventually founding their own company. They were fortunate to travel together to many unusual places in the world as they loved to experience other cultures and lands not seen by most people – Papua New Guinea, Bhutan and Antarctica with 250,000 penguins were favourites.
Fergus and the family request that those who wish to contribute to Susan's memory designate that their donation be used toward research on metastatic melanoma.
