I have two family members and a friend affected by cancer and they are inspiration to me to become more involved in battling this disease.

I participate for my sister who has just completed over a year of treatment of cancer. I also am involved because of my father-in-law who has recently gone through cancer treatment. In addition, I am also inspired by a very close friend who survived a battle with cancer over 35 years ago and her determination and spirit is an inspiration to anyone who has met her.
