I Relay so that one day there will be one less way to lose a loved one.

My best friend introduced me to the Relay several years ago and was passionate about it after losing his grandfather to cancer and becoming very close to a survivor. He captained our team throughout university and helped our friends understand what an important cause it is.

He passed away six months ago. He didn't have cancer, but that doesn't make it any easier, and I continue his support of the Relay so that one day we will be able to beat cancer and it will stop taking away loved ones before their time.
