A few years ago, I lost my aunt to lung cancer. I considered her to be my second mother, and not a day goes by that I don't think about her.

A few years ago, I lost my aunt to lung cancer. I considered her to be my second mother, and not a day goes by that I don't think about her. Last summer, I lost my father's stepdad to prostate cancer. Although there's no blood relation, he was a very positive role model for me, and taught me to work hard and never give up. These are just two of the ways cancer has touched me, and I'm still young. I'm getting a head start so that I can live to see medical advancements in this ongoing struggle.
