I'm 17 and doing it for my mother who passed away.

My name is Sarah and my mom passed away about a month ago from gallbladder cancer. She was the most courageous, strong, funny and smart lady out there. She was to only have 6-8 months to live but she battled that stupid cancer for about 2.5 years. It's hard to find other young girls such as myself out there that can relate since I'm only 17 but you know... My age is only a number. Having to grow up so fast and dealing with the rollercoaster of her being in the hospital than completely okay and at home was definitely tough. I'm still learning how to deal with it and what to do but as days go by it does get easier. Cancer has played a big role in both sides of my family, just this past summer I had an uncle pass away from lung cancer. I can’t tell everyone how excited I am to do this for my mom. I know she'd be so proud and I do know that she is up there looking down on her whole family. She may not be here in physical presence but I know her spirit is with me and she's always in my heart and mind. Love you momma bear. Xoxo
