Cancer No More!

Cancer touches nearly all of us at some point. Let's beat this disease and give our children and grandchildren a chance to NOT KNOW CANCER!

I have been participating in Relay for Life for 6 years - 2012 will be my 7th Relay! This year I have one more reason to participate.
On December 9, 2011, I lost my Mom to lung cancer. I lost my Dad to colon cancer 12 years ago and my grandma to lung cancer 15 years ago. I watched as cancer took away my Mom's energy and will to live. I watched as she struggled with the pain and fear that cancer caused for her. I was with her as she died.
I want to stop cancer! I want my children and grandchildren to live without that fear. My Relay team, Capes for a Cure, will be walking in Lethbridge on June 8. Please come and join us OR cheer us on! Your donations to my team will help us help fight cancer, to stop cancer!
As I walk the track on June 8, as the luminaries are lit at dusk, I will be thinking about all those people I know who have or had cancer. I will pray for those who still fight this disease and I will miss those who have died from it. Come and be part of this amazing night - for all those you know who are touched by cancer! < /p>
