Kates army!

She never gave up hope and always smiled.

I worked with a lady named Kate and one day we found out she had leukemia. It's so unbelievable that one minute this person you see every day loves life and poof suddenly she's a cancer patient. The road was long and hard but along the way Kate kept a journal letting all her friends and co-workers share in the experience her way of staying connected. I thank her for this because I had no idea how hard a journey it is for someone with cancer. Not to mention the family and friends what they also have to experience. At times Kate’s journal would make you laugh, and at times it would make you cry. If it weren't for Kate’s journal I wouldn't be participating in the relay for life. It made me realize how important it is to donate and fight for a cure and not give up hope. Kate never gave up hope she was too full of life. We formed the team Kate's army and plan to fight as hard as Kate would have to find a cure and raise awareness. Along our journey we will keep her memory close to our hearts and share our stories when people ask who Kate was. I hope Kate’s army stays strong and continues for many years to come.
