Cancer is a disease that has affected all of us in one way or another. On average, 604 Canadians are diagnosed and 225 Canadians die from cancer every day. This is why the Canadian Cancer Society is leading the fight against cancer in Canada, and why we are supporting them with our Stick-It to Cancer fundraiser.
The Scott Trapp Stick-It to Cancer Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament is an annual fundraiser in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. We hold it in memory of Scott Trapp, a brother of DKE who sadly lost his battle with cancer in December of 2014, and who has inspired us to make the event the best and biggest it can possibly be. Since our inaugural tournament in 2012, when we raised $5 000, the event has slowly grown to become the second-largest independent fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society in BC. Our highest fundraising year was in 2018, when we raised over $47 000. This year, we are asking for your help to reach our goal of $50 000 raised. No matter the size of the donation every bit helps, so we greatly appreciate any support that can be offered.
Thanks for your support!
