Companies Fight Back

Join the Canadian Cancer Society running team at the 2013 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon on October 20 and help us reach the finish line in the fight against cancer!

With 25,000 runners from more than 60 countries, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is truly an international affair, but thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Canadian Cancer Society running team it also has a big impact in the fight against cancer in Canada. Since 2009, 500+ runners have raised more than $227,000 to help the Canadian Cancer Society fund lifesaving cancer research and community programs and services.

Whether they've been touched by cancer or are simply looking for a way to have fun and promote a healthy lifestyle, every one of our dedicated team members has a reason for running.

Why Vicki fights back:

I am passionate about wanting to make a difference in the world I live in and my charity of choice is the Canadian Cancer Society. I lost my mom at age 14 to breast cancer and not a day goes by where I don't think of her. Together we will beat this disease. And as I run along, in as many races as I can, wherever I can, whenever I can, rain or shine, I feel I am doing my part. Because we all have a story and we all need to help!
