A transformed Gala again this year!

The Canadian Cancer Society has organized the Gala des Grands Chefs for over 20 years. This culinary experience has brought together more than 3,000 people from the business community and some sixty chefs to support people living with cancer.

For the 2021 edition, the Gala des Grands Chefs is once again adapting to health measures by creating a new component, “Gourmet Dinners presented by the Gala des Grands Chefs”, an exclusive culinary experience delivered in a more intimate setting. Such acclaimed Montreal chefs as Mathieu Cloutier, Marc-André Royal, Helena Loureiro and Alexandre Gosselin are eager to welcome you to their renowned restaurants. This brand new formula is a unique opportunity for you and your guests to enjoy a delicious meal that has been specifically concocted for this gala event.

Like last year, we are inviting business people and the general public from across Quebec to contribute to the cause through our virtual fundraising campaign.

All the money raised will be used to fund our cancer prevention programs in Quebec.

Together, let’s make cancer prevention a priority!

The Gala des Grands Chefs is an initiative that enables the Canadian Cancer Society to continue saving and improving lives thanks to the generosity of business people and chefs whose tremendous creativity and exceptional commitment are laudable.

This year, we encourage you to buy a table to enjoy one of our gourmet dinners or to make a donation as part of our virtual fundraising campaign.

Help make cancer prevention a priority so we can save lives. An estimated 56,800 Quebecers were diagnosed with cancer last year. Your support enables us to pursue cancer prevention initiatives, to fund research leading to innovative treatments that improve and save lives, and to advocate for policies that promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles by all Quebecers each and every day, but especially during the pandemic.

Sylvain Poissant

“The Canadian Cancer Society is near and dear to my heart. Firstly, because it supports cancer prevention research, which is so important. I wouldn’t be alive without it. Secondly, its efforts target all types of cancer and it works on all fronts: prevention, information, support and advocacy. The Act to prevent skin cancer caused by artificial tanning is a good example. There can’t be enough said about preventing skin cancer.”

- Sylvain Poissant,
Survivor of metastatic skin cancer

The Gala des Grands Chefs is traditionally a gourmet gala event where generosity and networking converge. Since we can’t meet in large numbers this year as we usually do, we’re asking you to use your network and support our virtual fundraising campaign. You can make a real difference by mobilizing your organization, your colleagues and your contacts so we can more effectively prevent cancer.
