About the event

This all-new event will connect Canadians from kitchens across the country to make, bake, and break bread together — including some of your favourite chefs. Bakers of all levels are welcome, as are all kinds of bread, from sourdough to challah to bannock to baguettes. No yeast? No problem. Want to go gluten-free? Go for it. Pick the bread recipe that works for you and make it yours on the day!

Follow KitchenAid Canada on social media for #RisefortheCure updates, tips, and inspiration.

Coconut Milk Bread

@adrianforte

Originally from Jamaica, Adrian Forte is a Chef and Culinary Consultant for a number of food service groups in Toronto. His style of cooking draws inspiration from his roots, using flavours from Africa and the Caribbean islands while applying classic French techniques. Adrian’s Mother and Grandmother sadly passed from cancer, so this is cause that’s very close to his heart. Adrian’s Grandmother also taught him how to cook, and this ‘Coconut Milk’ bread recipe is hers.

Crowned as Canada’s Top Chef by Food Network’s Top Chef Canada: All-Stars, a competition that pitched the best of four seasons of Top Chef Canada, Nicole fought her way to the champion spot to become the first female winner of Canada’s most prestigious high-stakes culinary competition. Also, being a finalist on Iron Chef Gauntlet, Season 2 confirmed Nicole’s position as one of Canada’s premier culinary talents. Currently, she is heading into her second season of Food Network’s Firemasters cooking show. This cause is close to Nicole’s heart as several immediate family members have been affected by or passed from cancer. Nicole sadly lost her uncle to Thyroid Cancer three years ago, and her mother has had cancer 4 times and is currently affected by cancer.
