We are recruiting leadership volunteers.
COVID-19 Update: At the Canadian Cancer Society the health of Canadians and supporting people affected by cancer is our priority. We are committed to making sure that all of our volunteers and the populations we serve are safe while working with us.
We appreciate your desire to support the breast cancer cause by volunteering for the CIBC Run for the Cure. Vacancies are posted and we encourage you to apply.
In order to put the well-being and safety of people with cancer, our clients, volunteers and staff first, we are currently managing our business using technology that enables social distancing best practices. That is why our committees are meeting and planning virtually, and teams continue to raise much needed funds from the safety of their homes. When you apply, your screening and onboarding process will be carried out from a distance.
We will continue to update this page as we follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
Join Us on Run Day!
Join us and help change the future of breast cancer. On October 4, 2020 thousands of people across Canada will unite for the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, raising millions of dollars for the breast cancer cause. Our events would not be possible without volunteers like you! We’re looking for volunteers in Run communities to help us make this the best day possible.
Thanks to impactful events like the CIBC Run for the Cure and passionate supporters of the breast cancer cause, investments in research have led to significant progress in breast cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment and care. Since the 1980s, breast cancer survival has increased by nearly 20%.Frequently Asked Questions - Volunteer
