Spartan’s HR team, along with family and friends, are coming together on Sunday, October 6, 2024, as Team, “On Poynt” to support the estimated 27,700 women and 260 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. We all know someone close to us who has been touched by this disease, including our own VP HR, Susan Poynter, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2023. She is one of the lucky ones who was diagnosed early through a routine mammogram and successfully completed her treatments in August 2023 in time for the 2023 event.

We are once again participating and fundraising for the 2024 Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024, because we believe there is a cure. Every day researchers are finding better, more personalized ways to target cancer for the individual. A cure is certainly within reach.

If you would like to join the On Poynt team we would love to have you! You can walk, run, skip, dance or crawl your way through a route in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. Let us know if you are interested in a location outside of the three listed and we will look into options. As a team, we can motivate and inspire each other to raise funds for ground-breaking breast cancer research and support programs and services.
