The team "Kimmy's Krew" was created in 2016 in support of my breast cancer diagnosis. Thankfully I've got a clean bill of health now and I am forever grateful for the support and care I received during my treatment and recovery. But we all know too many people who weren't as lucky as I was. We continue to run and fundraise to support those that continue to fight, and pray that there will be treatment for breast cancer patients no matter what stage they are diagnosed at. Every day, 75 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done.
