My Run. Anywhere. Any way.

Angie's Army

We are: ANGIE’S ARMY

Our WHY: Sister, Wife, Mom, Daughter, Niece, Friend: Angie Cooper

Angie's Army was created in 2015 when my sister, Angela Cooper was diagnosed with breast cancer. The team is built with Angie's biggest supporters: family, friends, and extended family. We came together to run/walk in the CIBC Run for the Cure, to demonstrate our commitment to her and this cause. As she went through her ups and downs, this Army was by her side each step of the way. In April 2018, we were devastated when Angie lost her battle.

Even though Angie is not able to walk with us, we have vowed to continue her fight, participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure each year as her continuing legacy. I know that Angie loved her "Army" and was proud of us all for participating in these events. She would be happy to know that we are continuing the annual tradition in her honor and walking/running in support of other fighters and success stories like our Aunt Nancy, whom has particpated since our first run in 2015.  Nancy is a huge contributer each year and we are all proud to walk with her in celebration of her success story.

My goal is to continue Angie's Army and make us stronger each year. I believe we have truly have made an impact on each event in her honor. Our goal has always been, if we can help just one person with diagnosis, treatment, or family support, then all our efforts are worth it.

Angie’s Army is also honored to share the walk with four Breast Cancer survivors who also proudly wear our shirts. These ladies are a success story and an inspiration. It shows that our efforts do help.

Please join our team, or donate today. Help us give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope.

Thank you! We appreciate your generous support.
