As many of you are now familiar, it has become a yearly event for me to participate in the Batting against Breast Cancer

Slo-Pitch Tournament, a favorite summer event. It is an annual slo-pitch tournament that brings together families,
corporations and slo-pitch teams looking to hit a home run and help the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation –
Prairies/NWT Region create a future without breast cancer. Since its inception in 2004 in Edmonton, the tournament
has grown to sites across the prairies.
Starting in the spring, teams of 10 to 15 players start raising funds to meet and often exceed their fundraising goals.
They then join us for a fun day of slo-pitch and festivities to step up to the plate in the name of breast cancer research,
education and awareness.
For the past 4 years my Team ‘The Diamond Divas’ Won for Best Dressed and top fundraising team which truly
touched my heart As I am Breast Cancer Survivor of 16 years now, I have no words to express how amazing The
Cancer Foundation is, without it I would not have been given a second chance at life.. Breast cancer is a cause that
deeply motivates me and I am excited to be contributing to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of creating a
future without breast cancer. The money I raise will help to fund critical and groundbreaking research, education, and
