My name is Michael Licari, I'm from Ottawa, Ontario. I grew up speaking French in a predominantly Italian family, and picked up English from growing up in Ontario. I have been a Constable with the RCMP since mid 2018, and was welcomed into my first posting and what I now call home, Fraser Lake, BC. I love the outdoors, and requested I be placed in BC for it's beautiful landscapes and nature. In my free time, I stay active with my pup by running with him, and occasionally taking him on hikes when I can escape and get a few days to myself. I wished to be a part of this team as it would be an experience of a lifetime. I'd get to take on a physical challenge and most importantly I could do something truly impactful, rewarding and helpful with it. I've watched my aunt battle cancer for years, and continues to this day. I'm fully committed to doing whatever I can to raise awareness and funds for people like my aunt and all the children out there affected by cancer.
The money raised from Cops for Cancer Tour de North helps:
• fund leading-edge pediatric cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives;
• provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment;
• and supports our award-winning Camp Goodtimes.
Please donate and help us reach our fundraising goal! Every donation takes us one step further in the fight against pediatric cancer. Online donations are secure and save the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thank you so much for your support!
