I am participating in Cops for Cancer 2020 - Tour de Rock to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. I rode the length of Vancouver Island over four days in the summer of 2016 to kick off the fundraising efforts of Spectrum Community School where I was principal. I was then asked to guest ride with the team in 2018, an invitation I was honored to accept. After training for 7 months and several fundraising endeavors, I rode with 21 other riders into 29 communities across our beautiful island. We met many incredible people on our journey who have either battled cancer or have family and friends who fought this disease. It was a truly humbling experience.
Due to the pandemic the ride looks very different this year. I am pleased to ride one of the legs with a few of my fellow alumni for this important cause. The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives. We are hopeful that Camp Goodtimes can return to normal operations next year.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge shows families who have a child with cancer that they do not have to face it alone. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
