Over the course of two days, I will be riding in the Cowichan Valley, where I work and live. 10 years ago, I rode in the Tour De Rock - Cops for Cancer. Following my ride in 2010, I volunteered to train the new teams yearly until I had my second child in 2016. Together, myself and Iris (my daughter) will be raising money and donating our long braids to assist in creating wigs.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge shows families who have a child with cancer that they do not have to face it alone. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
