Event Information
Police officers across the country play a leadership role in organizing the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer events by involving the community in fundraising and cancer awareness activities such as head shaves. Since 1997, the program has raised over $48 million to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research and support programs to raise funds to support our youngest Canadians through their cancer journey. Event participants create fundraisers of their choice while collecting pledges from their co-workers, friends, family and community members.
Why? Because the impact of cancer on the life of a child and their family is devastating. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer Fundraisers are used to fund life-saving research and caring support programs for children and their families to reduce its impact.
