Pedal for Hope –
The excitement returns as we prepare to welcome back and cheer on the Pedal for Hope Team as they ride into St. Elizabeth on :

Tuesday May 9th at 1:30pm with assemblies in the gym to follow at 1:45pm and 2:40pm (class divisions to be determined)

We would like to reintroduce the Cops For Cancer - Pedal for Hope Team! Since 2005 officers from Durham Regional Police, Peterborough Police, the RCMP, OPP, Port Hope Police, Metrolinx and team support personnel have joined forces to spread the word about childhood cancers and to raise money to support pediatric cancer research and support services.
St. Elizabeth has done an outstanding job supporting this great team every year since the Spring of 2015!

How it works:
Our school has already signed up to help spread awareness and to raise funds to support the mission. If your child is interested in joining the cause they can:

Shave their head! (Either on stage or before and you share before/after pictures)
Donate their ponytail (Either on stage or before and you share before/after pictures - ponytails are donated to Wigs for Kids Canada )
Dye their hair in advance of the school assembly! (Dyed hair cannot be donated)
Collect funds on behalf of the Pedal for Hope
Buy an ice cream sandwich or ice lolly on our Fundraising Treat days! (see School Cash Online ) Ice Cream Dates: April 11, 18, 25 and May 2!

You will need to print and sign the waiver in advance and hand it in to Ms. Lailey or Mrs. Z. Smith if your child would like to shave their head or donate their ponytail online!

GET READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE! We encourage you to make posters! Our whole school will line Longworth Avenue and the bus loop to welcome and encourage the riders as they ride their bikes by our school on May 9th at 1:30!

Prizes will be awarded by the Pedal for Hope to the top fundraisers!
