My name is Jessica Mucha and I am a 2 year Constable with the RCMP in Whistler BC.
This year I have the opportunity to participate in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. Cops for Cancer is a law enforcement based fundraising initiative. At the end of September, there is a 5 day cycling tour in the lower mainland where I will cycle approximately 100 kilolmetres each day, alongside a team.
I will be working and training hard throughout this year to reach my fundraising goal. My initial goal of $4000 dollars has been achieved and now I hope to get to $8000. Cancer is something that affects everyone in different ways and given the hardships that many have gone through in 2020 I believe it is time to give back. It would mean so much to me, the Canadian Cancer Society and the children/families affected with cancer if any type of donation could be contributed - anything would be appriciated, no matter the amount -big or small.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
