I think we have all be touched in at least one way or another by Cancer. Both of my grandfathers battled it and were able to fight the fight. I lost an uncle a little over a year ago to cancer. Even closer to home, my Dad, Bob Wheeler, had a very short battle with esophageal, lymph node, and liver cancer. Dad learned about the cancer in September and by November he was gone at the young age of 69!. I miss him dearly and wish he was here to see what I am doing to honour his memory.
All that to say, I am participating in the 2021 Cops for Cancer Ride to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
