We are participating in Cops for Cancer, Tour de Valley to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
We are not Police Officers, Peace Officers, nor First Responders... We are just "kids", so what are we doing different?
We have been growing our hair since March 2020 with the committment to donate it to children who have lost their hair during their cancer journey. In 2016, at only 8 years old, a close friend of ours was diagnosed with cancer. Through the course of his treatments he lost his hair, but this did not stop his joy for life; however, his then bald head was exposed and needed to keep covered. For many children the loss of their hair is a devastating event and we want to do our part to gift them with an option to have hair during their cancer journey.
Please give generously during the Cops for Cancer, Tour de Valley week September 20-24, 2021. We look forward to your support for our fundraising page as we have learned, it takes only one person to make a difference.
Thanks for your support!
