This year I'm participating in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast Ride. What does this mean? Well, it means that I'm on a mission to raise money for those children who are affected by cancer. Those of you who know me understand how much supporting cancer research means to me. Each rider sets a goal that they wish to achieve before the tour which takes place this September. I am confident that with your generosity and from the upcoming fundraisers we have planned that this goal is obtainable.

All of the money raised will go to the Canadian Cancer Society, the largest national charitable funder of childhood cancer research. Not only will the money you donate go towards Childhood Cancer Research, but it will help provide a support system that helps children with cancer and their families live their lives as fully as possible while on their journey.
Specifically, the money you help raise funds leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provides reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offers vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocates for healthy public policies. I understand that not everyone who wants to help is able to make a donation. However, there are other ways in which you can support childhood cancer research, such as sharing this page’s link with other friends, family members or colleagues to help raise awareness of this cause. I don't think I need to stress how much of a positive impact any help or donation can have.

Please make a donation for the Canadian Cancer Society and help us reach our fundraising goal! Every donation takes us one step further to creating a world where no one fears cancer. Donating online is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs. The minimum donation for a tax receipt is $20.
