Hope is cutting her hair for cancer and Nikki is fundraising for the event. The girls would be very appreciative of any donation you can make! 

The Pedal for Hope team is gearing up to continue their mission to give hope to children living with cancer and their families. 

I am participating in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer. Starting May 8, 2023, I as a rider for the Pedal for Hope Team will be gearing up for a weeklong cycling tour in the Durham and Peterborough Region of Ontario.  

History 

In 2005, the Peterborough Chapter of Cops for Cancer took on a new identity. The Pedal for Hope Cycling Team was born and local children living with cancer had a new support team behind them! Local police personnel, first responders, a retired N.H.L. hockey player and a great crew of support personnel have been dedicating their time to this worthy cause. 

The Pedal for Hope team cycles throughout Central Ontario visiting local schools and businesses delivering a powerful message about kids living with cancer. We are proud of what we give back to our community but can’t do it without the support of our ‘Pedal for Hope Friends’ and their families, our police services, our schools, local businesses, and our sponsors.

The money raised from this event is designated to the Pediatric Family Counselling Service as well as leading pediatric cancer research. It helps fund leading-edge pediatric cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives. Providing reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offering vital community-based support services for children and young adults living with cancer and their families; and the funds help The Canadian Cancer Society advocate for healthy public policies.
