Hello everyone!!  Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page - I truly appreciate your support!  I have committed to ride with COPS FOR CANCER this coming September.  I will be representing the Vancouver Police Department and will be one of 40 riders, cycling 800 kms from September 15 - 22, along with other local police officers and emergency services personnel to support children and families living with cancer.

Many people and families have been impacted by cancer and I am no different.  In 1975, I was in kindergarden when my 11 year old brother, Bradley, died from cancer; in 2012, my father-in-law, Lloyd, and my step-father, Ken, both passed away from cancer and in 2015 my father, Gary, passed away from cancer.  I need to do something to fight this disease and so I will ride a bike 100 km a day over 8 days to raise funds for research and cures. This disease has and is impacting my family!! The battle is on and we will fight. I will ride to help raise funds and plan personally raise $6000 and would love your support.  My Tour de Coast team is working towards $700,000 this year as a group!!!  

The money raised from this event will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes, a local medically-supervised recreation experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families.  What a great way to help kids and their families with giving them a place like Camp Goodtimes.  Bradley and my parents would have benefitted from places like Camp Goodtimes back in 1974/75 - so happy to be able help to those children and their families in this way!!!

Every donation takes us one step further to pedal our way to end childhood cancer, because one child with cancer is one child too many.
