Tour de Valley 2024: Team Sallinen - Canadian Cancer Society

Tour de Valley 2024

Team Sallinen

We are participating in Cops for Cancer for which local police agencies and emergency service personnel will ride 800km around the Fraser Valley region to support children and families living with cancer and beyond.

My wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in June 2023 and has battled for her life. She is now in remission and my inspiration to join Cops for Cancer.

Our photo shows us holding the golden bells of the chemo ward which signify a victory over cancer. Watching a loved one battle this disease was life altering and can’t imagine how difficult it must be for the families supporting a child with cancer.

That is why I have joined forces with the Canadian Cancer Society to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research and support services. First responders are often called brave, but the true brave are all the children who are conquering cancer.

Please make a donation on our behalf and help us reach our fundraising goal! Donating online is secure and you will instantly be emailed a tax receipt in which you can expect about 20% of your donation back next tax season.

One child with cancer is one child too many. To take on cancer, it takes every one of us.

Thanks for your support!!
