I am participating in Cops for Cancer for which local police agencies and emergency service personnel will ride 800km along the BC Coast to support children and families living with cancer and beyond. 

The money raised from this event will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes, a local medically-supervised recreation experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families.  Providing a safe space for medically vulnerable kids to attend camp along with their families is one of the greatest gifts we can give to these kids fighting pediatric cancers.

Like many people I have close people in my world, family and friends, who have been direclty impacted and died from cancer. Channeling their determination, resilience and courage, I am committed to being a part of this incredible fundraishing opporutnity and bring awareness to pediatric reasearch and provideing opportunies to kids and families.

One child with cancer is one child too many. Nothing big gets solved by one person or one organization. To take on cancer, it takes every one of us. It takes a society.
