Tour de Coast 2024: Team Shukster - Canadian Cancer Society

Tour de Coast 2024

Team Shukster

This year I am participating in Tour De Coast, which is a combination of local police agencies and emergency persons who will cycle 800km along the BC Coast to raise money in support of children and their families who have been diagnosed with Pediatric Cancer.

The goal of raising $6,000.00 is a number that is important to me, because this means I can help send 3 kids to Camp Goodtimes. Camp Goodtimes is a local Summer Camp which is medically-supervised Camp which allows kids and teens affected by Cancer to have the stress free experience of truly getting to just be a kid and enjoy time away at summer camp. I was fortunate to be able to visit Camp Goodtimes and see for myself how positive this experince was for the kids that were abe to attend. From activies that included rock climing, hiking, swimming and many more - all in a stress free evironment thanks to the medical staff on site to support the children.

The money raised overall from the Tour De Coast will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes.

One child with cancer is one too many. To take on cancer, it takes a community of support.

Thank you so much for choosng to support me in this!
