I am participating in Cops for Cancer for which local police agencies and emergency service personnel will ride 1200km from one end of the Island to the other - all to support local children and families living with cancer and beyond. 

The money raised from this event will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 kids each year to Camp Goodtimes, a medically-supervised recreation experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families. 

This year I am also cutting my hair and donating it to Wigs For Kids BC.  The Wigs for Kids BC (W4K) program raises money year-round to provide free custom-fitted human-hair wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer or other serious illnesses. The program also helps cover the costs of essential drugs and feeding supplies for children that are not covered by MSP.

 I am continuing my Angel Grandmas legacy of giving back and helping kids through Tour de Rock. Throughout her years of volunteering countless hours and endless fundraising, she even shaved her head many times for the cause. Kids deserve to be kids she always said and I agree.
