Mackenzie Sweets Bike Ride

In June of 2023 Peel Regional Police tragically lost one of our own to a long battle of Cancer. Mackenzie joined Peel Regional Police in 2014 and spent much of his career at 21 Division in Uniform Patrol, CIB and for a brief period, in the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau.

Throughout his policing career, Mackenzie demonstrated unwavering dedication to our organization, his colleagues and community. The impact he made extended beyond his regular duties and through his long, public battle with cancer, he became an inspiration to many.

Join us in commemorating Mackenzie by participating in our first Annual memorial Bike Ride.  Mackenzie was a avid cyclist who loved mountain biking with his dog, Sookie. So come out on September 14th 2023 for a day of cycling, eating and sharing stories of our fond memories of our lost brother.

Donate $1 per kilometre that your are cycling (10, 20 or 30km’s), donations will be going to Cops for Cancer in Mackenzie’s honor. Beginning at 9:00am at Café CHC- The Bike Shop Cafe located at 15640 Mclaughlin Road, Inglewood Ontario with refreshments and coffee, ending with a barbeque with donations going to Boots on the Ground.

Please reach out to Constable Taryn Young #4398 if you have any further questions.
