I am participating in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
On Vancouver Island, Tour de Rock will run from September 24th through to October 7th, 2022, from one end of Vancouver Island to the other. This year is especially important to our caring communities as we celebrate Tour de Rock’s 25th anniversary. From the very first ride in 1998, Tour de Rock has grown on the strength of dedicated volunteers and community partners from Port Alice to Victoria raising over $27 million funding life-saving pediatric cancer research and the acclaimed summer recreational program, Camp Goodtimes.
Our event will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion #180. We are hoping to have a seafood feast to celebrate the tours 25th year! MOWI has donated 3 salmon for the dinner already! With the last 2 years only being a breakfast for the riders, we are excited to be able to have the entire community participate in a dinner and auction. We are estimating to feed 70-80 people. If you can donate something for the dinner, or an item for the silent auction, or make a cash donation please contact Ashley.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please make a donation on my behalf and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every donation takes us one step further to creating a world where no one fears cancer. Donating online is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
