I am participating in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer. Starting May __,2024. I, as a rider for the Pedal for Hope Team, will be gearing up for a weeklong cycling tour in the Durham and Peterborough Region of Ontario.  

History 

In 2005, the Peterborough Chapter of Cops for Cancer took on a new identity. The Pedal for Hope Cycling Team was born and local children living with cancer had a new support team behind them! Local police personnel, first responders, a retired N.H.L. hockey player and a great crew of support personnel have been dedicating their time to this worthy cause.

The money raised from this event is designated to the Pediatric Family Counselling Service as well as leading pediatric cancer research. It helps fund leading-edge pediatric cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives. Money raised will also help the Canadian Cancer Society advocate for healthy public policies and provide up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment. Vital community-based support services for children and young adults living with cancer and their families will also be able to continue.
