I am participating along-side my partners Gabriel and Jacques in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
We will be fundraising and training throughout 2022 to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society, and prepare ourselves for the Tour de North, an over 800 km bike ride from Dawson Creek to Williams Lake stopping in many communities along the way this September.
I'm riding in memory of my late Grandmother, who suffered for decades through returning cancerous tumors, and numerous surgeries having many parts of most of her organs removed, until it was no longer feasable to continue that path. After still fortunately being able to live long full life, she passed away in 2003.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please make a donation on our behalf and help us reach our fundraising goal of at least $3000 per rider! Every donation takes us one step further to creating a world where no one fears cancer. Donating online is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
