Hello and thank you for supporting this worthy cause that is dear to our hearts. The money raised from this event will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending 600 children and teens affected by cancer to Camp Goodtimes, along with their families, to enjoy a medically-supervised recreation experience.

We are Sergeant Jereme Leslie and Retired/Constable Dani Frohloff, a husband/wife team representing Saanich Police and participating in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock 2024. This is the 27th year of Tour de Rock in which local police agencies and emergency service personnel will ride 1200km from one end of the Island to the other - all to support local children and families living with cancer. Sadly, we believe there isn't anyone left who hasn't been touched by cancer in some way; if not personally, then by someone they know from family members to friends to colleagues, even previous Tour de Rock riders. 

Our inspiration comes from our daughter, Devon, who has been fundraising for Tour de Rock since she was 5 years old. This September, when the ride starts, she will have successfully fundraised every year of her academic career. Having recently retired after 27 years of policing, it seemed fitting to agree with my husband's idea that we honour Devon's fundraising accomplishments by riding into her school during her Grad year (and having her shave our heads to raise even more money)

What we didn't think through adequately was that neither of us are avid cyclists! In fact, the last time we rode bicycles was in 2016, casually through a small village and fields in Wartenburg, Germany. But we recognize that the challenges we will face during the training and the ride itself cannot compare to the challenges that children and teens face during their courageous battle with cancer.
