Tour de Coast 2024: Team Pauw - Canadian Cancer Society

Tour de Coast 2024

Team Pauw

Hi Everyone! I'm Brianne. This year, I'm participating in Cops For Cancer which is a collaboration between first responders/emergency service personnel and the Canadian Cancer Society. In September 2024, participants will ride 800km along the British Columbia Coast to support children and their families living with cancer.

I'm participating in Cops For Cancer to ride in memory of the loved ones I've lost, and to ride for those I've witnessed lose a loved one to this horrible disease. I'm riding to assist financially with cancer research and to facilitate the opportunity for a child/teenager to experience Camp Goodtime. Lastly, I'm riding to challenge myself personally with the 800 km bike ride across British Columbia amongst likeminded people for an incredible cause.

The money we raise as a team from this event will support the Canadian Cancer Society in fueling new pediatric cancer research discoveries and sending approximately 600 kids to Camp Goodtimes, a local medically-supervised recreation experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families. This is the first year where the funds will be equally split between funding research and assisting sending a special child/teenager to Camp Goodtimes.

If you're financially able, I would greatly appreciate any donation towards my goal. Donating online is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.

One child with cancer is one child too many. Nothing big gets solved by one person or one organization. To take on cancer, it takes every one of us. It takes a society.

Thanks for your support!

Brianne
