Thank you for your support of Cops for Cancer. We are grateful that you have chosen to partner with the Canadian Cancer Society and to raise dollars to support people living with cancer.

The health of Canadians is our priority. We understand how critically important it is to contain COVID-19, because people living with cancer are at heightened risk. Their care and well-being are being impacted by the virus and our highest priority is to support them, be good citizens and minimize the impact and duration of the pandemic.

We have made the difficult decision to postpone the Cops For Cancer Yorkdale Shopping Centre event; the new date will be determined later as we monitor the developments of COVID-19.  This very difficult decision was made in partnership with the Toronto Police Service and staff at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, in order to ensure there is sufficient time for the planning and execution of a successful event.

However, we need your support; in this time cancer patients are at increased risk and, like the rest of us, dealing with feelings of anxiety and isolation. Our phone-based and virtual support programs are playing an important role helping people with cancer and their caregivers better manage cancer, find community and connection and build wellness and resilience in the comfort of their home. By continuing your online fundraising, you can help ensure that we have the resources to continue this work through and beyond the current health crisis.

On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society and the Cops For Cancer Yorkdale Shopping Centre team we sincerely thank you for your continued support and commitment as we work through these difficult times and continue to provide valuable support services to those who need us most. Community is bigger than cancer.
