7 Days around Lake Ontario
This year I am, once again, participating in 7 Days In May, a cycling fundraiser event around Lake Ontario, and dedicated to increase awareness and to help find a cure for Pancreas Cancer, a deadly affliction.
This is the 6th year, and to date we have raised $250,000, which has all gone directly to Pancreas Cancer research. We are teamed up with the Canadian Clinical Trials Group out of Queen's University, in Kingston. 100% of funds donated goes directly to this research group! We're hoping, with more research and trials, that the survival rate will be increased year over year, and that's why I am once again asking for your support.
I am a Breast Cancer survivor. Due to early detection, I was pushed through a very organized supportive system, and within weeks was "clear" of this frightening, deadly disease. The cure may not be there yet for Breast Cancer, but the funding, early detection, awareness and massive support are available. This is not the case for Pancreas Cancer.
If you'd like to ride with us please check out the 7 Days in May website and register for the ride May 27 - June 2, 2017- you don't have to do all 7 days, just whatever fits your schedule and ability. http://7daysinmay.com/.
If you'd like to make a donation through me, here is the link to the donation site:
You'll get a receipt right away, and let me remind you, that 100% of your funds will go directly to the Trial Group.
Thank you in advance for your support
