Goodbye cancer - couldn't be soon enough!
I am participating in 7 Days In May, a cycling event and fundraiser founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreas cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction.
We will be participating in the Family Ride on May 6. My daughter Geneva will ride the 7k with my husband Sean. I will do the 75k ride. Our team is called Munro Maniacs, because we live on Munro Street. We are encouraging our neighbours to join our team in this ride.
Pancreatic cancer claimed one of my favorite people last year. We were very lucky to have him with us for two years after diagnosis. Most people get only 3 to 6 months. His treatment intersected with mine (breast cancer) at the Princess Margaret Hospital, a world class cancer research centre.
I am hopeful that we will find a cure for cancer in my lifetime. Any amount of support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Together we can #EndPanCan!
