My name is Russ Lam and I am Christina's brother. In 2022, I transcribed this message for Christina during her final days. This was what she had to say:
"After a short but intense battle with cancer, it is with regret that we share with those who knew Christina, that she has passed away peacefully. Please know that in her final months, her thoughts were with all of you even if she didn’t have the energy to reach out to you individually. She felt your wishes and your love and your support. With it, she found the spirit to keep fighting for as many days as she could. We know that this news comes as a great surprise to many of you. Please know that Christina, in her private nature, initially kept this news very close to her chest in the hopes that she would have better news to share with those that she loved. Her ability to share as many normal moments with all of you as she could was an integral part of her battle. In lieu of flowers or gifts, if you wish, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you."
