Is there parking?

Yes, there is ample parking at the park, adjacent to the ball diamonds.

Is there water or food available on-site?

Yes, there will be a water refill station provided, and an on-site concession stand will be open to purchase food. A free pancake breakfast will also be provided to registered participants before Opening Ceremonies.

When does the event happen?

The 16th Annual BABC Edmonton event takes place on Friday, September 9 - Sunday September 11, 2022.

NOTE: All times are suggested and may be adjusted closer to the event date. We are also abiding by Public Health Guidelines regarding COVID-19. In the event that Public Health reduces or cancels in-person gatherings that may affect this tournament, Team Captains will be notified as soon as possible.

How do I sign up for this tournament?

Click the “Sign Up” button on this event website and follow the prompts for Calgary! We recommend that Team Captains are the first to register their teams and send out the team page link to their players to sign up afterward.

How many players per team are allowed to register, and are there any minimum requirements?

Teams are usually made up of 10-15 players.
Minimum of 3 women and 7 men required per team.

Is there a minimum fundraising requirement per team?

Yes, as registration is free for all players, we do ask a minimum of $2,500 is fundraised by each team.

Will the event happen rain or shine?

Yes. We haven’t had a bad weather tournament to-date. If a very inclement weather system is forecasted for the date of the event, team captains will be notified in advance.

Will there be a Family Fun Zone?

TBC. We will be looking to set up a Family Fun Zone with a bouncey castle and activities for kids. This is sponsorship-dependent.

NOTE: Parents are responsible for the wellbeing and supervision of their children at all times during the tournament. No child-minding is provided by the organizers/committee. Please keep your children close by during the tournament.

Each team is encouraged to come up with their own ‘Team Theme Costume’ and dress accordingly.

Dress for game-day conditions on and off the diamond and for the time in between games, including any equipment you may need pertinent to your position

Please bring comfortable clothes, running shoes or cleats, your baseball glove and a hat to play ball in.

Remember, as skin cancer is the most diagnosed (1 in 48 Canadians every year) and the most preventable cancer be sun safe and cover up! Wear long sleeves, sunglasses, a hat, and regularly apply a sunscreen that has adequate protection against the sun’s damaging ultra-violet radiation (UVR) throughout the day.

Each team is asked to bring their own equipment for the games, which includes bats, gloves, mouth guards, batting helmet, catcher equipment etc.

  • Take Kingsway NW, St Albert Trail NW and AB-2 N towards St Albert
  • Exit at St. Anne St. and turn left at lights
  • Turn right at the first cross street on to Perron St.
  • Turn left on to Mission Ave.
  • Turn left on to Meadowview Dr.
  • Follow this road until you enter the ball park/see the diamonds and parking lot area

  • Take AB-2 South toward Giroux Rd. E.
  • Turn right on to St. Vital Ave.
  • Turn left on to Mission Ave.
