Welcome to Ben's fundraiser page!
Hey everybody! I am participating in the Whistler Tough Mudder 2016 to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. My goal for this event is to raise $1000. Let's see how far we can go!
A year ago, my mother Debbie passed away after a lengthy battle with Breast Cancer. Her positive attitude and desire to live her life to the fullest inspired many of those around her. Inspired by her legacy, I challenge everyone else to live up to their dreams and to push their personal boundaries!
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
My Personal Web Log
Less than 3 weeks left until the big day! I just wanted to thank everybody who has helped me raise funds towards the Canadian Cancer Society, your generosity is truly appreciated! Training for the event has been going well, with the usual bumps and bruises along the way. The weighted vest I've been training with has really motivated me to push outside my boundaries. I am still committed to running the course with the extra weight the entire way. I'll try to get some in-course footage of the experience to share with everyone after as well.
Anyways, I hope all of you are well and that you're enjoying this beautiful weather we're having. Have a great day!
